Almost every blogger does it for passion, but it’s always a desire to get something in return for the effort they’ve put in. It takes lot’s of time & effort to build a successful blog. Now, here comes the part, where everyone things of Blog Monetization.

But How? There are a plethora of methods by which you can make money, but what should you do for maximum profitability? Well, there’s a couple of ways like Advertising & Affiliate Marketing you’d be knowing by now. But there are other methods. And there are methods to increase revenue via Advertising & Affiliate marketing as well. Here’s the perfect guide to make money blogging.

Contextual Advertising

This is particularly the easiest way to make money blogging. You show advertisements on your blog/website served by ad vendors & they pay you a portion of what they earn from your ads.

As per Google, Contextual advertising is a form of targeted advertising for advertisements appearing on websites or other media, such as content displayed in mobile browsers. The advertisements themselves are selected and served by automated systems based on the identity of the user and the content displayed.

Now that you know what Contextual Advertising is, let’s discuss about ad networks you can look up to for generating revenue.

Recommended Ad Networks:
Up to 10000 page views per month – Google Adsense (Discussed Separately),
Up to 500,000 page views per month – Ezoic, Monumetric
More than 500,000 page views per month – AdThrive, Taboola

Google AdSense

AdSense is, undoubtedly, the largest contextual advertising network in the market. And this is where most bloggers start (I did too). And this is why I’m discussing it under a separate heading.

It’s really simple to apply for Google Adsense, head over to & fill up the form. If you’re not violating any of their ToS, it usually takes a day or two for approval.

You can make a decent income with thousand page views per day, but you shouldn’t be totally dependent on your Adsense income. Be sure to have backup options. The most dreaded thing that could happen is a banned Adsense Account. How? If Google detects any invalid activity, It’ll ban your account without any notice.

Prerequisites for Google Adsense:
Enough Content – Make sure you have at least 20-25 good articles on your blog.
Design – A Clean Design is likely to be approved faster
Other Ad Networks – Disable your other Ad Networks before you apply for Google Adsense
Grammar – Make sure your Content is Grammatically correct, Content with too many errors may not be approved.

It’s always been a subject of debate about how many posts should you have for instant approval, the answer is – we don’t know. Sometimes, a blog with 4 articles may be approved instantly & sometimes a blog with 400 articles may be rejected.

Direct Advertising

There’ll be a time when you’ll be getting really good traffic but your revenue wouldn’t be enough according to your potential. Well, you can go for Direct Advertising.

If you’re getting more than 500k page views, this could be the ideal solution for you.

How to start Direct advertising? There are two methods:

Method 1 (Easy Method): Get on board with BuySellAds or BlogAds to find potential direct advertisers for your blog. They’ll take a portion of revenue you make from their site but it’ll be easy to find advertisers. However, approval isn’t easy & may take up to weeks.

Method 2: Create a page on your site, label it ‘Advertise with Us’. Include your monthly traffic stats, social media stats, pricing & sizes for header, footer, sidebar & in-post ad options. This is not the ideal method but it could generate your more revenue eventually.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing is pretty much similar to Product Reviews but it has something more than that to be classified as a different topic. You need great skills to promote other’s products on your site & every sale means a hefty amount of commission for you. Sometimes the commission is as high as 50%. Same as in Product Reviews, You need to have a large readership & an email list for email outreach.

Sell Your Skills

This isn’t as weird as it sounds, Selling your Skills means providing services to people in the field of your Expertise.
And how is it related to your Blog Monetization? Simple! Show off your Skills on your Blog. There are very few chances you’ll get projects of a bigger amount that’ll make you rich overnight, but yeah, it’s a good way to earn extra from your blog.

Sell Your Own Products

This one is a way different monetization method than the others mentioned above. It accounts for selling your self-made products on your Blog to maximize revenue. But this isn’t a very good method to be emphasized about as most people wouldn’t wish to buy products from a small scale producer, plus the handling is very difficult.

Well, Here we are! I hope you’ll be well-known to Blog Monetization methods mentioned above by now. Let us know in comments Your method for Blog Monetization & what’s your strategy to maximize your Earnings. Also, if you like our posts, Keep Sharing our Articles to Help us Grow.
